Before you seal files

Beta until 1.0 — keep originals. Do not treat beta as your only copy.
Not AGI-proof — protects data at rest in .calt for people without your passphrase. It does not stop every attack, a compromised machine, or every future tool.
After decrypt, plaintext is unprotected — if you open files in other apps or upload them elsewhere, that is outside Vault.

What it is not

Not a guarantee against AI, malware, or lost passphrases.
Not a compliance certification or managed security service.
Not a free Punch licence or field platform.
Not a paid Vault subscription during free beta.

Use at your own risk — beta (limited liability)

Beta software is provided as-is and as available. This is a free public beta, not production 1.0.
You use it entirely at your own risk. You alone are responsible for operation, passphrases, backups, data integrity, suitability, and all outcomes. Caltior does not run a managed vault service for you.
No warranty of any kind — express or implied — including merchantability, satisfactory quality, or fitness for a particular purpose — to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caltior is not liable for loss of data, lost passphrases, corruption, loss of profit, business interruption, or any indirect or consequential loss, or for any claim arising from beta use.
Where we are liable, total aggregate liability for all claims arising from beta use is limited to the greater of USD 0 (free beta — nothing paid) and any amount you actually paid Caltior for Vault in the twelve months before the claim (expected: USD 0 during free beta).
Nothing on this page excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any right that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited. Those rights, if any apply to you, remain.

This is BETA testing software, not production 1.0. Features may change, break, or lose data.
You take all responsibility for downloading, installing, operating, passphrases, backups, data integrity, suitability, and all outcomes. You use Calt Vault entirely at your own risk.
The software is provided as-is and as available, with no warranty of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caltior is not liable for loss of data, lost passphrases, corruption, lost profit, business interruption, indirect or consequential loss, or any claim arising from beta use. The build may be unsigned; Windows SmartScreen / unknown publisher warnings may appear. Download only from caltior.io.
You will keep originals/backups of anything important. Caltior cannot recover lost passphrases.
Calt Vault is not AGI-proof and is not a managed service — you operate the tool.

This click-to-agree gate is a website beta download agreement, not a full paid-product EULA. Production 1.0 terms, if any, will be stated when a paid product ships.
